BUSY BUSY BUSY

Yep, I have been crazy insane busy! As my blog shows...I havent posted in almost a year!!! Well alot has certainly happened in a year. I was accepted into the PN (practical nursing) program at Fleming and that is basically what took every spare minute of my time last semester. I had no time to spare, with the new judo club we opened last summer and still working and being a fulltime student, along with attempting to keep my house clean, well I will make it simple..my scrapbooking stuff was dusty when I had a chance to start playing with it again over the summer break. I gained alot of weight as I was eating out and on the go alot and not hardly exercising at all, but I passed! I like to say "school makes you fat, broke and smart" lol.
I am about to enter year2 in a few short weeks and this time I am wiser to the evils of cafeteria food and lack of exercise. I have been working my butt off at the club and also bootcamp trying to lose the weight. I have lost what I gained over semester, which was 15lbs, but I am aiming to lose another 15 on top of that. I also have been spending the summer busier than I was while in school. Not near as stressed tho :D
I have spent the last 3 months visiting with family and friends that I hadnt seen since before xmas, and trying to spend as much time as possible with the grandkids...We take our granddaughter every wednesday and this sunday we are picking up our one year old grandson for a whole week!! Yep a whole week! I am actually really excited :) Not sure what all the week will hold but it is going to end with our granddaughters 2nd birthday party at chuckie cheese.
I am also working hard on learning all I need to know for my black belt in jiujitsu, yes, our club has diversified. We are no longer just a judo club now we are judo and jiujitsu! Plus we run self defense classes as well. I am going to be going to a grading in October and hopefully come back with my black belt. So ya I will still be brown in judo but what the heck, as long as i have a black belt in one thats the belt im gonna wear :D
Did i mention that I got out logo tattooed on the back of my neck? Yep its pretty sweet! I will upload a pic later. My hubby also got one. His first tattoo :)
Not much in the camping area this summer...we went twice, thats all we had time for. With the club there are plenty of judo and jiujitsu tournaments preoccupying the weekends Im off work.
I have been getting my volunteer hours done over the summer too. I volunteer for VON and take a visually impaired woman out once a week. She is the same age as me and I really love how much an hour or two of my time each week can really make a difference in someones life.
Um, what else is new? I have been scrapping too! Scrapbook star has a summer beauty pageant going on with challenges and games and such which i have very inspiring and have gotten so much done! The design team is awesome over there.
Last night hubby and I went on a dinner cruise at the toronto harbourfront. What great view of the city from out there. We really enjoyed the time together cuddling on deck and relaxing, not very often these days we get time together like that. This weekend I am heading to Ontario PLace (my first time)with a friend while hubby is away on a course for coaching and the next big thing I am looking forward to is SCRAPFEST!! I am totally pumped to see all the girls again, I have booked it off work and I am hopeful I dont have homework that weekend.
I think thats about it. I have pretty much summed it up.

Scrapfest was GREAT!

I had a blast scrapping with with everyone :) That was definately the best part--the company :) Our table was great! Lynn won Peoples Choice award for the "Fall Leaves me Happy" LO contest, and I won some great prizes too, including a great prize pack from Karen's Art House.
The goodie bags were AWESOME!! I didn't take any classes but I did do some make & takes. I spent most my time scrapping in the crop room and was super productive, I finished 12 LOs!!!

I picked up a few new stamps and got a good deal on a new border punch along with a few other things.

I was sad to see it end so soon, it definately could be longer ;) I am hoping I can make the next one in Kitchener, April 2011.

SCRAPFEST OSHAWA

So today is the day, its finally here!!! Scrapfest is tonight and tomorrow :) I have been counting down the days. I am so pumped! Can't wait to meet Cheryl, Lynne and Diana and I am really looking forward to seeing Melissa again. We are gonna crop til we drop! I will come back and post all the pages I get done and the deals I get on Sunday.

World Cardmaking Day 2010

Come celebrate World Cardmaking Day 2010 at Wescrap! They are having an online crop and it's gonna ROCK!

So, its been a while since I updated and I have way too many LOs to share them all.
I am back in school A&P1 this semester. Last semester of only 1day/week. January is coming fast!! Come January I will be full time in school, driving the hour to Peterborough and back everyday. Doubt I will have any time at all for scrapping :( that makes me sad, but school is important and it will be worth it in the end.

The judo club is doing awesome! Only been open a couple months now and already over a dozen members and growing weekly! Its great because I need to get back in shape. I slacked bigtime over the summer and gained back 7lbs.

My grandson is now 6 weeks old and i am addicted to scrapping him. He is just the cutest little man ever!! They dont live very close so I only get to see him a couple times a month, but thats alright, at least I get to see him. Unlike my granddaughter who I havent seen since December last year.

I will try and post more often but no promises.
